What is Dances at the Bay?

Dances at the Bay is a free outdoor dance festival bringing movement, creativity, and community to Bayfront Park.

Each festival day begins with a free line-dancing workshop at 6:30 PM that is beginner friendly and open to all skill levels. Come participate and get moving before enjoying the evening performances at 7:00 PM.

Under the visionary direction of artistic director Vitek Wincza, Dances at the Bay will bring fresh energy and creativity to the dance festival, making it a true reflection of Hamilton’s spirit. Celebrate the power of dance in a way that unites and uplifts our community!

Created by Hamilton, for Hamilton. Dances at the Bay invites audiences of all ages to connect, celebrate community, and experience the joy of live performance against the stunning backdrop of the waterfront.

What to expect!

Hosted by True Hamiltonian, Max Francis, audiences can enjoy inspiring performances from Canadian dance companies. This year's line up includes Little Pear Garden Dance Co., Frog in Hand, Projects by Zoe Kwan, and special collaborative community dance performances by choreographer Bri Clarke and the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre.

Each night, performances will be presented at various locations around Bayfront Park, creating an unique interactive experience of dance right at the Hamilton waterfront.
